Workshops
Come and spend the day with me in my Merrow workshop to learn the secrets of working with wood and resin. I'll guide you through every step of the process so you come away with, not only a beautiful product made by you, but a real sense of achievement. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
Due to the workshops are limited to two people and can take place weekdays and weekends during the day or evening.
Coaster Making Workshop
(Double session)
Session 1
Approx. 2.5h
I will talk you through the full process of making your coasters including the materials and tools we will be using. You will then design the wooden part of the coaster, choose your powder pigments for the resin element, and mix, vacuum and pour the resin. The resin is then left to harden ahead of our second session.

Session 2
Approx. 4h
You will use a bandsaw to cut the resin block into 4 individual coasters. Once cut, we start sanding! This is a lengthy but rewarding process working through a number of different sand paper grits to create perfectly smooth and flat coasters. You will then use a router to round over the edges before cleaning, oiling and adding the finishing touches. At the end of the workshop you will each come away with a set of 4 unique and beautiful coasters.

The total cost of the course (for one or two people) includes both sessions, materials, tea, coffee, snacks and 4 completed coasters per person.

After the course I will cut and sand the the coasters for you and deliver them to you approx. one week later.
